I got a 108; this is the first time I qualified for the AIME.

AMC 12B: 111.5

I am shooting for a 10 on the AIME II.;)

When can I get my score of AMC12 from my school?

I got a 111.5 on the AMC 12. However, question number 24 gave me some trouble.

Wow 111.5 seem to be such a common score.

B results came out today for us; our school had 11 qualifiers this year, a record.

Qualified for AIME... I don't know my exact score, but I'm thinking around 110.

My school had over 20 students qualify which is amazing. How good is a 115. Is that really amazing. Also, what percentile does that put me for the nation.

I only got a 91 on the AMC12... It was really funny, because my friend who totally rocks at math got an 87, while my friend who hates it actually qualified for the AIME. I nearly died laughing! Last year I was in the top three with a 96 on the AMC10, but it's really just because I go to an all-girl school there are no crazy boys to compete with.

I didn't find out my score, but I qualified for the AIME. WOW - I took total guesses at 3 questions. I calculated that if I got 2 wrong, I'd get sub-100.

Luck rox!

Just out of curiosity-what is the AMC test taken for? How hard is the AMC-12 exam compared to the SAT IIC Math?

AMC test => AIME

I don't think you can even compare IIC math with AMC math. It's just so different. The best academics-math student could easily get destroyed by the AMC. The AMC takes basic math principles and forces you to apply them in new ways (IMO).

Edwardz is right: there's absolutely no comparison between SAT math (even SATII) and the AMC series. It might as well be a different subject. SAT math is testing what you learn in the classroom, while competitions (at least the good ones) test a much broader range of mathematics and put great emphasis on being able to apply it creatively.

Also, the AMC is the first round in selecting the IMO team from the United States. AMC --> AIME --> USAMO --> MOP/TST --> IMO.

12A 111.5 (Far too many stupid mistakes)
12B 125.5 (Still not too happy; terrible time coverage but at least I didn't make any stupid mistakes)

I hope to get a 10 on the AIME. (It's not going to happen)

103 on amc 12

Where can I find sample questions?

YES! I'm the school winner with my 113.5. =)

the next closest was 112.5, so whew

those damn asian overachievers and their high AMC scores

School winner for AMC 10, with a score of 116. Missed qualifying by 1 question GAHHHH

A mite bitter are we, wrathofgod?

Being an asian and being captain of math team, I felt an irrepressible urge to post here.

AMC 12A: 112.5

I tied for second in my school...damn these too smart white people! ;)

We had...I believe 10 people qualify for the AIME from our school.

Hahaha, I don't stand a chance at the AIME. I have too much work and too little interest to learn everything about math that isn't taught at schools (like that ridiculous geometry in the AMC...) from the Art of Problem Solving books before the AIME comes along.

AMC 12B: 115.0 (I'm a sophomore)

Unluckily, I cannot solve many AIME problems, so I'm hoping to get around 4-5 on Tuesday. Maybe next year I'll qualify for USAMO, who knows.
