How did you get into UGA?

I’m a junior right now and UGA is my top choice and I plan on applying early action but am already freaking out. What was your gpa? How rigorous were your classes? And what were your test scores?
Right now I have a 4.7 weighted gpa (I think that’s uga gpa too)
An SAT of 1120 and ACT of 24 (taking both again in June)
And my academic classes are
English 9, Environmental Science, College algebra Part 1 and 2, English 10, biology, chemistry, geometry, algebra 2 , world history, government, Spanish 1, 2, and 3, US history, psychology, accelerated biology, American literature, college algebra & Trig (DE), AP biology, and AP psychology

Retake Act and aim for a 29 or higher or sat equivalent. The only other concern is your low amount of AP courses but your gpa is high.

GPA is good (what is your unweighted?) and classes are okay (you might want to dual enroll or do as many APs as possible next year though. I recommend Dual Enrollment personally because UGA recognizes them on the same level so you could take twice as many since each class lasts only a semester). You really really need to bring up those test scores though. These days I don’t hear of anyone getting in with anything under a 30 ACT. And the 30 scored people usually need an edge to stand out and get accepted (like some sort of national recognition in either academics, leadership, or athletics).

My unweighted GPA is a 3.7 and I’m doing duel enrollment both semesters next year m, so I’ll have 4 DE classes

Apply regular. Make sure you have plenty of extracurriculars and give your SAT another try. I know some guys who got in with the same approximate stats as you…and this is coming from oncoming freshman.
