"How did you hear about ______"?

Vassar asks this as one part of the supplement essay. Do I have to strive to answer this creatively/interestingly? Or just with the truth? Which is....my Dad told me about it because he skis in that area and pays attention to stuff like that....I could pump up the volume of that for the essay, but still, haha.

Thanks!

How long is it supposed to be; and use that as a guideline. Carleton has a similar question (how did you become interested and how did it develop) and the limit is 300 characters (about three lines of 11pt Calibri on MS word). So I answered it pretty honestly; highlighting the things that are unique about the school, but not really super deep or anything

Hamilton asks it, 250 characters. Vassar asks “HOW DID YOU LEARN ABOUT VASSAR AND WHAT ASPECTS OF OUR COLLEGE DO YOU FIND APPEALING?” and gives 500 characters.
