Overall, how hard is it?

And how difficult is it in comparison to AP Calculus AB?

(I opted for AP Stats senior year - not sure it was the right decision)

It’s not bad at all. Much easier than Calculus in my opinion. Especially at the end of the course when we were doing chi-square tests, significance tests, and confidence intervals, it was so easy! Regression, line of best fit, etc, etc aren’t that bad either. You should do fine.

I don’t know compared to AB, but it’s MUCH easier than BC. At my school it was spread through the whole year, but even if it were just 1 semester it shouldn’t be too hard.

Its very easy. i knew next to nothing, did a little review, and got that young 4 on the exam. With effort you should get a 5 no problem.

It is extremely simple but at my school I was the only kid to get a 5 in like 3 years because usually it’s a bunch of unmotivated seniors who needed to take a math class but didn’t want to take calculus and so when May came in their senior year, their brains had already shut down for the summer so they basically all failed the test. I took it as a junior though so I actually cared.

AP Statistics is easy, and it basically isn’t really math. The main thing you learn how to do is use your calculator.

You shouldn’t take Calc AB. BC contains marginally more material and at many places will allow you to skip a lot more.

Extremely simple.

I slept in class all the time :)

At my school, it’s take by people from 10th to 12th grade, and everyone has an A, almost always. It’s considered much easier than any Calc.

It is the easiest AP class at my school.

Self studying now, and it’s really been easy.

So do colleges look down on it even though it’s an AP class?

@ my school it’s considered one of the harder AP classes. Probably because the teacher is really tough.

It’s really not bad and it all depends on the teacher. I didn’t do that well in the class…B+ (when most people were getting A’s) but I got a 5 on the AP exam when I was expecting a 3. The important thing is not to underestimate it like I did and actually work hard for it, and you will succeed, just like in anything else.

Super easy! I played tetris on my calculator and did other hw the whole time. Plus, mine was first period and I just walked in late everyday. Teacher was cool, subject was cool.
Hardly any math used.
Lots of common sense is used, it doesn’t wrack your brain.
Also, your calculator becomes your best friend.
A great AP to take, it’s usually the easiest AP around here (of course, it depends on school/teacher, but in general…) :]
