I just began getting interested in going to a boarding school and I have a few questions, specifically about Andover. Firstly, how are things weighted in terms of sports, academics, interviews and SSAT's? I have not played any sports which I am afraid will significantly reduce my chances of acceptance. I do ride at my grandfather's house but because it is not a club I don't compete and it is just a hobby, similar to photography. I also do not know how to play an instrument other than the recorder. My grades are pretty good though. I'm not saying this to brag, but because it is my only redeeming quality. I am one of the top students, especially in math and almost always received distinguished honors. I also participate in NJHS, BPA, and Math League and am planning on doing Quizbowl. I do community service as a requirement for NJHS too. And I was awarded top student of the month in art. It would be really helpful to have this information. Please help me! Also please give me any suggestions to boost my applications.

Unless your SSAT score is in the 98th percentile+ you probably won’t have a chance. Post this in the boarding/prep school chances forum.
