How do American colleges convert Canadian percentage grades?

This has probably come up on the forum before, but I haven't found it so I'm going to open the topic up for discussion again.

In Ontario, an 80% is considered an A-. How do adcoms translate this grade, do they consider it a B-?

I think
97-100 is A+
94 -96 is A
90-93 is A-
87-89 is B+
84-86 is B
80-83 is B-

but I am not 100% sure.

no, they do not consider it a b-, if you get an A, you get an A. They know the grading systems are different, and are well aware that an 80% is an A-. Turning it into a B- would be unfair.
