Hi, I was wondering how colleges calculate high school GPA.

I know that all schools have varying GPA systems with different maximum points
(in some schools an A+ is a 4.8, in some A+s are 5s, and in others there even isn't an A+, A is the highest).

Since I've been moving around during my four high school years, I now have three different transcripts from three different schools, hence two different GPAs (my freshman year was spent in middle school as sophomore year is the start of high school in our country). I asked my counselor and he said the GPA our school will be sending will only include the grades I received here and not my sophomore or freshman grades. But I'm pretty sure colleges won't just ignore my sophomore grades either.

I heard upon reviewing applicants, colleges compile everyone's different GPAs and put them into a system to come up with a "standard" one, also reflecting the rigor of the high school. First of all I don't know if this is true, and second, if it is, how do I get a glimpse of what my GPA will be like overall?

I'm a confused penguin.
Help!
