Lately, I've been getting a ton of emails from colleges about how they'd like me to check our their institutions and about how they're "so impressed" with my academic achievements. I was just wondering if they got my email from when I took the SAT a few months ago? Also, I was wondering if my score of 2380 on the SAT was seen by colleges and caused the influx of messages I've been getting.

If you put your e-mail on the SAT, expect a large volume of e-mail. Also expect some mail if you gave your address. Colleges that are impressed with your scores will send this to you, I encourage you to give them all a look, I actually developed an interest in High Point, a school I would have overlooked, because of mail like this. If it is not a school that sounds interesting, simply disregard it.

Because of your high score, you will probably receive offers to apply for scholarships or to have your application fee waived, I received many such offers and my score was a mere 1900. I was able to apply for free to a couple of schools I was interested in because of this, so look out for those too.

There is a box on the SAT that you can check which basically says, “send my score to colleges”. If you check this box and even get a decent score, you get a ton of messages. Congrats on your amazing score though.
