How do colleges look at my GPA?

<p>This junior year, my grades were:
First semester, I got 3.67,
and second semester, 2.67.</p>

<p>do they just look at each semester seperately? ..or will they take the average of the two?
And will my first semester GPA compensate for my low GPA second semester?
I'm interested in applying for CSU's, by the way. Do you think I qualify for Cal State Fullerton?</p>

<p>By the way, Do I have a shot at UC Irvine, or Riverside, though? Them two were my original aspired colleges, but my hope is kind of lost now.</p>

<p>What is your Cal State GPA? They only look at your soph and junior year classes in specific subjects…</p>
