I am a senior, and am wondering what colleges REALLY do with writing scores and with superscoring? I could write for a really long time giving you the many contradictions that I have found here on CB and elsewhere relating to these policies, but, to make this short, I will just say that there are many contradictions, and I would appreciate any information (that is actually information and not mere speculation) people have.

Well, I guess I found an answer for the writing section: it is considered by most colleges, just not as strongly as the other two sections. However, I could still use some help with the superscoring. Many people say that it is a bad idea to send all your scores if some are considerably inferior to others, but, if colleges really do superscore, then this proves false. Also, if colleges superscore than isn't the new score choice policy simply a cripple, if you choose to use it? Please answer if you know anything about the extent to which colleges really superscore.
