In the commonapp, they ask the approximate no of hours of a particular ECA you spent per week ? Do I need to send any proof for the hours I claim?
How can I get the proof from school ?

No, i don't think there's a need to proof. They just expect you to be completely honest.

If your EC comes through the school they could be corroborated through your GC who just may mention it in your recommendation.
Some colleges go by the adage if it sounds too good to be true, it just maybe. They may not go through the problem of checking in the admissions process, but misrepresentation even after acceptance is grounds to rescind your admissions (meaning the school is within their right to kick you out or recind your degree). IF you are truthful, you will have no problems.

My D's high school had a community service requirement for graduation, students had to have their hours verified by their site in order to get credit from the high school. The highschool indicated on the school's profile that there was a community involvement requirement and the number of hours needed to fulfill it.
