How do common app fee waivers work?

Hello,

I’m applying through the common app and checking the fee waiver box. Is this handled automatically, or do I need to get a fee waiver signed by a counselor and mail it to the schools?

The advice that you were given in response to your identical post in the transfer forum is sound:

If you can’t find anything there, call or email the Hamilton admissions office. The people that work there are very friendly and very helpful.

OP is, I believe, a fall transfer applicant. That application deadline is April 15.

Check the fee waiver box and when your counselor is submitting the required docs he or she will verify that you qualify. Then you can apply to the Common App colleges for free.
