How do I get AP score transcripts?

Title says it all. I need to send my AP scores into the college I choose to go to but It's been about 3-4 years since my AP exams. The collegeboard website is a bit confusing, so how are you all doing it?

It’s funny because I ran into the exact same problem earlier. I was in the process of trying to send in all transcripts and test scores.

Apparently you need your AP number and it’s especially important because I don’t think I used my SSN on the booklet. And you have to send the scores by phone. They charge you 8 bucks for their service on top of paying for them to actually send the scores.

I’m going home tomorrow and hopefully I can find my old AP booklets. Otherwise I am going to have to call customer service and try to track down my AP numbers =/

Can you send the AP scores yourself after receiving it from College Board? It’s all sealed inside their envelope so I was wondering if I could mail that. Or does the UC require it from College Board directly.

Go on the College Board website…

I’m not sure if they even have the option to get the scores sent to you. When I called the automated site to order my scores to get sent to my CC to get credit, they machine over the phone asked for the school code for which the scores were to be sent.

You guys can call the AP number and give them your name, the year you took the test, the type of test, etc and they should be able to track it down. Thats what I did- I didn’t put my SSN down nor did I save my AP booklets/number.

I’m also wondering the same thing- Can we send them AP scores that have been unopened that are addressed to us? I have some and would really like to not have to call up AP and order more just because my name is on the envelope…

Well from my experience, when you send scores to a school, you automatically receive your own personal copy. I just want to know if I can send my own sealed scores so I won’t have to spend $25 again.

Oh I didn’t know that. When I sent scores to my CC, I didn’t receive my own copy.

@KarmaGo: In a semi-related story, I tried to get AP credit with my community college by bringing in my personal copy of AP scores, but was told they couldn’t take it because it had been opened (obviously for fear of faked records). Maybe you can avoid the resending fees with your sealed envelope, but something tells me they want it sent from College Board. I feel like the UCs are super anal about the records they maintain.

Hey guys, do you know for particularly Berkeley, do you have to order AP scores to be sent electronically? Because I ordered for it to be sent by mail…and I’m not sure if I did it right
