I took the SAT once and got 2040. CR: 650 M: 730 W: 660
How can I bring my SAT score up to 2200?

I took Math II and scored 740. How can I get to 780+?

And I'm taking the ACT in September. Any suggestions on how to study?

And are there any books that are really helpful for SAT, subject, ACT? Thank you! :)

I would use Barron’s. Especially for Math II.

@Kreig01 : My only problem with Barron’s is that I feel like it gives more information than you need (not necessarily a bad thing). Like when I took Math II the first time, I focused a lot on the topics I didn’t learn in class, but the book said I should know, and most didn’t appear on the exam. So rather than spending time reviewing topics that I knew and were actually tested, I spend most of my time learning topics NOT tested.

@nyckid9 True, it does go overboard, but like you said that is not a bad thing. If you do every practice test and you score around 700 for each of them I would be surprised if you did not score an 800 on the actual test… I remember I was really depressed because I kept score like 710s on barron’s, but I was really prepared for the actual exam and I scored an 800 on it.

@Kreig01 : Congrats! And thank you! :)

@nyckid9 Goodluck! You’ll do great

@Kreig01 : Thanks I’m aiming for 780+ and I don’t think it’s impossible if I study. When I took it the first time, I was unfamiliar with the test until half a week to a week before… I didn’t have time to do a practice test either so on the real one I never got to answering five questions at the end. >.< I’m hoping to get a lot more studying done this summer but agh I have work and I have to start thinking about possible essays…
