How do I look for ND?

Hi all,

Notre Dame is my Number one school. They have always been and I’m so nervous for my acceptance/denial letter. Could you tell me how I look for such a prestigious school. I’m willing to take the SAT’s again.

I am a current high school Senior looking into schools for general Business majors with a minor in finance.

I don’t chance, but here is the ND class profile.

Even with a hook(s) it will be VERY tough with those test scores. I strongly suggest practicing and reviewing both, retaking both, and updating admission s before it’s too late.

25% - 75% ACT is 32-34, for perspective.

I completely agree with ^. Your scores are VERY low. You need to get them up to have a legitimate chance. Also, take some SAT IIs.

SAT II’s aren’t required, nor are they particularly useful unless you’re scoring high 700’s: I would agree on retaking the SAT’s or ACT, avg ND student gets around a 33 on the ACT and 1460 on the Math + Critical Reading. You also said retested scores come out 12/23: did they bump up that 1750 or did you already include them?

Yes i apologize i missed that, my updated scores are an 1830. CR-590, M-560, WR-680

I don’t like to do chances, but the fact of the matter is that it is going to be VERY difficult for you to be admitted. Test scores are the biggest detriment IMO. An ND counselor told my guidance counselor that they were looking for 1540+/1600 on the SAT for EA applicants (unhooked - not URM, legacy, athlete, first gen, etc.), if that gives any indication that RD will be pretty competitive too.

well, ND does specify that in REA they’re only looking for the top half of the class; otherwise qualified applicants are deferred. But I do agree that your scores are really going to make things tough

@alambert221‌ I agree with everyone else - it’s going to be pretty difficult.

@silverdrop Did you get into ND? I think I’ve seen you on a couple threads before. Just curious!

@Coolkid999‌ Yes, I was.
