So I got a F in AP Calc and I emailed them about it at myapplication@ucsc.edu
but they replied telling me to notify them? I just did. How else do I do it? and I also want to get this settled before May 1, SIR, but the semester is not over yet so how do I send them grades?

Dear UCSC,

My name is ( ) and I am an admitted freshmen for Fall 2010 at UCSC. My UC Application Identification Number is ( ). The reason I am emailing you is because I am concerned about my grade in AP Calculus for second semester. I have been working hard my senior year to maintain my grades but to my dismay I am afraid that I may be getting a F for AP Calculus second semester, and a C for first semester. The course material has become increasingly hard and I am still trying. However, I am doing well in my other classes and improving. I am very worried and wonder how this may affect my admittance. It would be fantastic if there is anything that I can do. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
( )

Thank you for your email. If a student receives a D or an F in a class in the final year of high school we require them to notify us and explain the circumstances for the performance in the class. We also ask them to submit all fall grades and in progress grades if available for the final term. We look at all of this plus the information on the application before making any decision on a students status. It is therefore impossible to say what the result would be from a bad grade in the final semester of school, we would need to collect all this information before making a determination on a students status with us.
