1) I live in a state where kids primarily take the ACT. If I take it without studying, I could probably get around a 33, maybe a 34. I would really like a higher score so i'm taking a class (Kaplan). Then comes the SAT (Could barely pull off a 2000, i'm much better at ACT). There is no place to study for this (Kaplan) near my house in my needed time frame. However, I am going to study for the PSAT via Kaplan as well for NMS. If I can semifinal, I need to take the SAT anyways and I wont have studied. Will PSAT prep and maybe some self study prepare me well enough for the SAT?

@medicsz lol ^ that’s what i was exactly thinking…anyways this might come off as mean but just because you’re the top of your class at school doesn’t mean that you’ll do well on the ACT/SAT/PSAT

I can qualify what @AsianDoctor said. I’m pretty much ranked 1 in my class, and my classmates or “rivals” pretty much admit to it. I go to a school of more than 400 students in an above-average state and school, so it’s not just some tiny private school. Sorry if I’m coming out as cocky, but that’s pretty much what’s going on for now… You never know what might happen; we’re still rising juniors O_o… However, my most recent practice ACT was only a 33. School academics are completely different from an insanely standardized test. At least in subject tests or AP tests, they’re “standardized” but “specialized” at the same time. 6 AP tests thus far :D! Good luck and best wishes on your tests, nonetheless!

@medicsz @AsianDoctor Im not estimating. We took a retired ACT statewide (Illinois IACT). I got a 30 even though I fell asleep twice and guessed on the entire science portion (got a 16 on that section LOL) because I got bored and knew the test didn’t matter. When I try on practices I get like 33s. And ROFL i’m nowhere near the top of my class I wish. But I would really appreciate answers guys. Sorry for confusion though :D
