I received my score today and I had received a 2 on my AP world history exam when I was for sure I got at least a 4! How do I request for a rescore?

You can find your answer here: [AP Scores - AP Scores & Reporting Services](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>View Your AP Scores – AP Students | College Board)

“Multiple-Choice Rescore Service
You may request that your multiple-choice answer sheet be re-scored by hand. This score and your free-response score are then appropriately weighted and combined. The resulting score is converted to an AP score and compared with the reported score. The multiple-choice section is not disclosed, and therefore scores on this section are not available. The free-response section is not reread. Studio Art portfolios are not reevaluated. AP Services must receive your signed, written request by mail or fax by October 31 of the year in which you took the exam. The fee is $25 per exam. Please allow six to eight weeks for a response.”

They should refund the money if your score does indeed change. You shouldn’t have to pay for their error.

^then they wouldn’t profit from their own errors. Collegeboard is unhappy.

Collegeboard should just come out of the closet, we all know they desire to a for-profit company.

They had a 50 million Surplus last year, hows that for nonprofit

I also want my test rescored, but when it says signed and written request, does this mean that we just write a letter or is there an actual form?

^I think you just write a letter.

Here is something I found on an older thread

"The lesson learned is that if the score sounds too low, request the re-score. If you were hoping for a 5 and received a 4, then it’s probably correct because you can’t get a 4 from just one test section. But if your score is more than one notch below your expectations, get it re-scored. My experience with CollegeBoard in this matter shows that they’re not very good at what they do for a living.

The last day to request re-scoring for the spring tests is 10/31/09. Here’s how to do it by fax; I suggest that you type all this out, print it, and fax it:

Write a short paragraph telling them which test you want re-scored.
Name
Address
Sex
Date of Birth
AP Number
AP Exam Title
Credit Card
CC Number
Valid through date
Name on the card.

Sign it and date it. Fax to 1-609-771-7320. A couple of days later call 1-609-771-7300 to see if they actually received it and have acted on it. Good luck."

Sorry to revive and old thread…for the AP Exam title…is that just the subject?
Thanks

Yes. That and the year of that specific examination.

If anyone is reading this and needs a rescore, the college board fax has changed 610-290-8979 is the new fax number. Good luck :D
