Tomorrow I’m taking in AP English Language PRACTICE exam at my school to prepare for the actual exam in May. The thing is, I’m not sure how else to prepare other than study rhetorical devices for the rhetorical analysis essay. Is there anything else that I can do to ensure that I do well tomorrow? I have an A in the class, is my highest score on the multiple choice was a 32 out of 55. My essay scores fall into the 6 to 7 range when I try really hard. Based on this, what is most important to focus on for now? I’m not extremely worried about this practice test (because it IS only practice), but I really want to ensure that I do well so I can better identify my strengths/weaknesses. Some kids are going into this practice test blind and without preparation, but I really want to do well.
Just an FYI, I’m not using any review books, but my school has a system through which students can practice MC. I’ve done this, but how could I prepare for essays? Doing outlines? Annotating texts for rhetorical devices?
