I have my top choice school and I know I need to advocate for myself.

I've signed up for the mailing lists
I've attended a regional reception
I've interviewed when admissions came to town
I even flew across the country to your the school

My question is there anything else I can do or just wait?

How about for the schools I have just taken tours with (and arent as far)and don't offer interviews?

Can I get in touch with my admission counselor? And if so what do I say without being an annoyance?

Maybe try visiting their website and reading up what its community is like. See if it has any special “quirks” or stuff, and then mention in your essay how much you would love to take part in those unique “quirks”. Not sure if this’ll work, but this is just what I remember reading from an article online.

Email your regional admissions officer to ask an intelligent question or 2 whose answers cannot easily be found on the school’s website. Also mention in the email something positive about the school, and that you intend to apply.

Before you go any further (such as yoamogatos’ suggestion), does the school consider interest at all? You’re really close to the “stalker/pest” line, IMHO.

Assuming they do take interest into account, just make sure you have told them somewhere that if you are admitted, and can afford it, you will come. Be explicit if they are your first choice.

Of course, if they don’t consider demonstrated interest, then there is nothing else to do but send in your semester grades and an update with any new awards or honors.

I think you have done everything you can. And as others have suggested, the Common Data set will tell you if they even care. If you REALLY love them best, apply ED. :)

I would modify this to say: If you REALLY love them the best, ANDfully understand all of the financial and admissions implications of applying ED, apply ED.

Of course, entomom. But just saying… you can only show so much interest. That is the ultimate way to do so. Assuming you understand the implications of doing so.

^With all of the ‘accepted ED, can’t afford to attend’ threads on the FA & Scholarship forum, I think it’s prudent to add that part. It was meant to add additional information to your suggestion.
