How do I show passion?

Honestly, if you spend time with me for a while, you will realize I am a total nerd and will have deep conversations about anything really. Honestly, how do I show that in an application? I have been programming C++ since I was around 11, and I taught myself, no classes. Why did I do it? It was from my obsession of knowing how things worked and the want to create... Then I got into Assembly language, because for that same reason, I wanted to know how the computer worked under the hood in the engine. Also self taught. How ever, the only thing I do regarding programming is in my free time (never anything productive is ever created...) and lead programmer on the robotics team. I will be participating in the Google Code Jam this year, but I do not know how well I would do honestly because it is a new kind of thing for me. I never done competitions.

How am I supposed to show my passion? I don't know if it is passion or this obsession to know how everything works. Sigh... I can't talk about programming and stuff like that in my personal statement.

This has the potential to be an amazing essay topic. Not “I like to program,” but the desire to create, the search for knowledge, the rush of learning how some advanced technology or process works. Especially if you can talk about how this passion spans your interests and drives you.

I wrote an essay about my affair with programming with minor hints of sexuality for my college essay!

^the problem with the above posts is that any ■■■■■■ can write an essay about those things

but how do you really show it

because college admins are going to realize everyone just bullsharted their application about “wanting to create and learn”

we dunnnnn give a ****, just admit us, bro.

Yes that: how can I stand out of the crowd?

go harder, faster, and be as loud as you can.

If you’re very fat, I guess you’d stand out.

LOL, not very fat… 6’ 215 lb… I played linebacker -__-… My name was from 5th grade, I was pretty damn fat.
