How do I Stake up/Audition Choices.

<p>Hi Everyone so I was just wondering some experienced members could help me here. I am looking to see if the following songs are good choices for auditions or if they are over song at college auditions, also with the stats I will be showing; what is the chance of me getting into these schools are:</p>

<p>GPA:3.5
Choirs:All Catholic[2 years]
Chorale[4]
Men's Ensemble[3]
Church[3]
ACT: 23[without writing
SAT:1700[with writing]
Total of 3 AP courses [Envir., Music Theory, and English]
Student Rep
Musicals [4 years]
Community Theatre [2 years]
And other non-music activites</p>

O Shenandoah [English]
Amarilli, Mia Bella [Italian]
Vittoria Mio Core![Italian]

<p>Schools:
James Madison University
DePaul University
Westminster Choir College
Temple University
West Chester University</p>

<p>Also if anyone has any good/bad "reviews" of these schools that would be a great help too thanks.
P.S. I am a Baritone age 18.</p>

<p>First, have you discussed your audition rep with your current voice teacher? He/she should be able to give you guidance in this area.
Off the top of my head I can say that the Quilter is very commonly sung as is “Amarilli”, but if they are comfortable for you and you sing them really well, then by all means use them. I’d be careful with “Shenandoah” (although I love the song!!) unless the requirements specify that something of this genre is permissible. I would suggest that you consider dropping that song in favor of a 20/21 century English piece, which you’re always going to need. The Brahms, if you can knock it out of the park, is a good choice!
From what I know, you should stand should be competitive for any of the schools you have listed. Good luck!</p>
