Hello everyone. This is not only for Harvard but in general for the top schools. If my parents were born in eastern european countries (pretty under represented), so I’m obviously caucasian, do admissions officers see this and weigh it in my application? On the common app, there is a section to write your family info, which includes birthplaces for your parents. I was wondering how much attention this gets, if anyone knows? Thanks
Do they see this? Yes. Does it factor into your application? No. Colleges may possibly look at it to cross-reference with your reported race/ethnicity.
