How do SAT percentiles work?

<p>I have a few questions: </p>

<p>Is every the test curved in the same. for example, is a 2210 always better than 99%.</p>

<p>Is there any way to find how your score compared to other people's HIGHEST score.</p>

<p>“You scored higher than 92% of last year’s graduating class of students who took the SAT.”</p>

<p>Many people take the test multiple times???</p>

<p>No, 2210 will not correspond to the same percentage. However, the percentile it is associated with will not vary much (maybe .1-2% at most per year).</p>

<p>Second question, the percentiles don’t take in account multiple tests taken. It is in comparison to each individuals highest score.</p>
