Will they notify of our ED decisions by e-mail? Or do we have to wait for the snail mails?

Will the results come out today, or tomorrow?

Will the results come out today, or tomorrow?

I'm pretty sure they do not email.
I assume ED acceptance is like the others where it is in a big white envelope.
You still have time to call them this afternoon if you want to find out exactly when the envelopes will be mailed.
I know from other Scripps mailings that the people around Los Angeles will get theirs first, then next day other parts of West Coast, but you also have holiday mail this week which might delay their snail mail.

If you get a small envelope it could mean you are deferred to RD.
So don't trash it if it isn't the big one.

Supposedly, in past years, it has always been snail mail.

They're sending the ED letters Monday (12/17) but I think we're able to call and ask the status.

merisuh, did you call the office to find that out?

Yep :D

My dad asked about the calling to find out and I'm pretty sure he said that they said I can. I know a girl last year that called on the 17th because she hadn't received her letter yet so they told her over the phone. Plus, according to the website, we were supposed to find out today! Last year they accepted 19 girls ED1!! I don't know out of how many.

whaaaaat?! Just 19?! Oh wow... It's hopeless for me.

For 2005 the common data set says:

Number of early decision applications received in Fall 2005: 108
Number of applicants admitted under early decision plan: 43

I suspect this covers both ED 1 and ED 2.

Blah. So has anyone tried calling?

I'm too nervous to call! If anything, I'll call tomorrow or the next day; I know I won't get it tomorrow since I live on the East Coast.

YOU CAN CALL!

I called awhile ago (the most nerve-wracking call EVER) and someone from admissions took my name and phone number, saying that the officer who reviewed my application will call me with my status. Four grueling minutes later I recieved a call from someone from admissions who told me I was accepted!!

Congrats, merisuh :)
