The "results" of the FAFSA - the SAR. I can't remember, is that emailed to us? Or where do I find it?

Thanks.

HI Weenie,

If you filled out the FAFSA on line, you will recieve an e-mail from FAFSA telling you that it has been processed with a link to the SAR (takes about 3 days if you did it on line and considerably longer if you filled it out and sent snail mail).

Thanks sybbie!

I will be sending FAFSA for 11 schools so I'll have to send it in 2 batches. Do I need to wait to get the SAR before I submit for the second set of schools? Thanks.

I asked that recently, and the answer is YES. You have to wait until you get the SAR for the first batch. What a pain.

I went to a financial aid night at my D's high school and they said that you can send out that FAFSA to 6 colleges online but would have to wait until you receive the SAR by email and can then submit to other schools.

Could take 5-6 days to receive the SAR.

I filled out the FAFSA on January 1 - my note said we should get e-mail in 3 days. Will let you know how long it actually takes.

Came home from work today to find an e-mail saying the SAR was ready and had been sent to the colleges listed. So, 2 days from day FAFSA filed electronically.

Thanks all, I submitted the first 6 today. So, I'll keep a look out for the SAR in a couple of days.

The only thing to remember though is if you correct later, you have to make sure the corrections go to all the schools.

Thanks for the tip!

If you make corrections later, do you have to do it in 2 batches like you do initially when applying to more than 6?
