how to send FAFSA to a 7th school

I submitted it to 6 already and got the SAR.

Do I remove the 6 and then add the 1 more??

that doesn't 'withdraw' the info already sent to the first 6 does it??

When you get your SAR and know that the 6 schools got their info (you can call each of the fin aid to be absolutely sure), you can then remove them and add the one more. I would add Pitt too (Followed you here from the other board, ha, LOL). It doesn't withdraw anything as the report is sent to the other schools already and is in their files. People do this all of the time, as many apply to more than 6 schools.

Do I really have to double check that the first 6 actually got it before making another submission. I can't imagine everone calls to make sure they 'got it'. I don't want to send to the schools a second time because I don't want it to look like I changed something (and get put at the back of the line).

Oh he'd never go to pittsburg :-)

i had the exact same question..i just got my SAR today

Yeah, im wondering the same thing. Do we have to call every school to confirm?

I posted this in another thread here but...I called the FAFSA hotline # and they told me that I should call each school. But I know that at least one of my schools says to allow u to 4 weeks after submission of the FAFSA for it to be processed...but if all 6 of my schools take this long to get the FAFSA, then I won't make it in time to submit it for the deadlines of my other 6 schools....ugh, this is so confusing.

This is scary as I have submitted the FAFSA to 14 schools over the last 48 hours...deleted 6 from the 01 SAR and adding 6 more as the correction ect...does this mean only the final two schools will actually receive the FAFSA? Confused and concerned!

Mizo>> jw..does it show up as 3 separate transactions?

Strawberry,

I think so; 01 and 02 have been accepted these are the SARs I corrected to get all 14 schools in. I am expecting 03 SAR back today.

Calling the schools seems nuts, imagine if everyone did that? Nothing like being a nuisance to the admissions people to get your application sent to the bottom of the batch :-)

I'm just going to delete add and send.

"If I want to apply to more than six schools, what do I do?
You can only select up to six schools at a time to receive your application information. Once you receive the processed SAR(Student Aid Report), you can:

Go to the Corrections on the Web and add more schools by submitting a correction to your FAFSA information. You need your PIN for this option. If you make further corrections after adding the new schools, the schools you entered on the original FAFSA will not receive these corrections.

On average how long does the FAFSA to show up in a school's data base? Some schools like Tufts lets you check received documents online.
