How do you all survive on so little sleep?

PI've been getting 3-4 hours of sleep a night for the paat three weeks and honestly, I can barely function at all. I keep falling asleep or blanking out. Really difficult to concentrate.

Personally I average six hours a night, though I end up getting closer to four or five on school nights. Some people can handle very little sleep, others not so much. I know of people who pull all-nighters regularly, I personally can’t function on less then three hours. If you are one of those people who does need more sleep try cutting down on ECs or take classes that produce less homework.

I usually get 5 or 6 hours of sleep. I always feel pretty tired, though. I’m not sure how I do it, but I just make it work since I have to lol.

I try to do my work as early as possible so I can sleep at 9-10 p.m. and get around 7-9 hours of sleep. I’m still tired afterwards :/. Whenever I work though I usually sleep at 11 D: Thank god I’m on spring break… It’s been so great sleeping in!

It all depends on the person. Some people will feel fully rested with 5 hours, some still won’t feel rested with 10. Personally, I never needed much sleep as a kid, so even in the relaxed senior year state 6 is plenty for me. My junior year I probably did around 4 a night and I was okay, but any less than that and it would have impacted my reasoning.

On paper I get 8 hours (10-6) and then after school I nap for ~30min to an hour, which I know is bad.

But hey.

On school days I usually get 5-6 hours. I find that I function best on 6-7 hours of sleep.

I get about 6-8 hours of sleep week nights.

I don’t stay up finishing homework. If I’m up to 1 or 2 doing work. I stop, put it away, and go to sleep. Wake up the next morning and see if I can finish it in other class periods. No use in losing sleep over one nights worth of homework.

I can handle 4 hours a sleep for about two nights in a row and it goes downhill from there.

Napping helps. Sometimes you need a quick 30 minutes to keep on chugging.

Napping really doesn’t help for me. I’ll try and sleep 30 minutes and en up sleeping 4-5 hours.
I ignore alarms.
Usually by the time it gets to 11 or 12, I know I’m not going to get enough sleep by going to bed since I have morning practice and 0 period…so I’ll stay up anyways.

Yeah…I think that’s where your problem lies: Not going to sleep because you think the sleep you would get wont be enough.

I always get my 8 hours. I prioritize sleep over hw 90% of the time

Going to bed at 12 already means only getting 4 hours of sleep for me. xD

Then go to sleep earlier. Manage your time towards your homework. Work on it during class periods, right when you get home from school, or just accept that you’re not going to get it all done and go to sleep.

Or…since there are only two more months on school left, suffer through it.

on school days I get 6-8 hours. I make it up by sleeping like half the weekend

I usually get around 4-6 on school days 6-8 on weekends…it’s not so bad really lol, considering we should all be sleeping an average of 9 hours a night.

I guess I’ve just never really needed as much sleep as some people. I usually sleep 3-4 hours a night on weekdays and 8 hours on weekends when I can and I feel fine.
I don’t really have all that much homework most of the time. I procrastinate all the time so I’ve become fairly good at it. A lot of it can be done in other classes or at lunch before class.

I get an average of 5-6 hours of sleep a night during the week, and 10-11 hours on the weekends. Sometimes I’ll stay up extra late to finish homework assignments, but 2:00 is the absolute latest I’m willing to stay up, even on weekends. Most days I function just fine and don’t feel tired at all, but there are some days at school where I just crash and lose all of my energy, which almost always happens in the early afternoon.

I get between 7 and 9 hours every night. Granted, I don’t have as much homework this semester as I did last semester which I find strange considering my classes are harder than last semester. I cannot function without a decent amount of sleep.
