Going to competitive schools can be tense. How do you manage your sleep so that you can concentrate on task, not getting irritable but can stay awake every night until 12 or 1 to do homework?
You sleep in on weekend? I heard that will mess up your sleep?

its so hard for me.
i dont start doing hw untill around 10, (i procrastinate) and im usually up till 1
then i have to wake up at 5:30 every morning because of early morning band.
i dont know how i manage to stay awake.
i just sleep in on weekends

You sleep in on weekend? I heard that will mess up your sleep?

I’ve built up a LOT of sleep debt over the years.

So I usually get 5-6 hours of sleep a night.

I nap 2-4 hours every day.

And I get 12 hours of sleep every Friday night, and 9-10ish on Saturday nights.

And I still am tired every single waking moment of my life. =]

really?
:S
well then
i guess im messed up… hahaha

I don’t really go to a competitive school lol

I also do the weekend sleeping-in trick, which gives me two mornings of pure luxurious bliss and stress the rest of my life.

I really do think it would be worth it to start enforcing a no-exceptions 8-hour-a-night sleeping rule for myself. I could do it; I waste so much time anyway. And it would make every waking moment worth more because I would be alert.

I sleep around 8~10 hours on weekdays, and anywhere from 10~20 hours on weekends, so I get a decent amount of sleep.

Um, I guess you have to get used to it; before I needed at least 10 hours daily, but now I can manage with about 8 (although it gets tiring, but I sleep at school).

I think it’s been shown that we need a bit more than 8 hours of sleep a night (though somewhere between 8-9 hours). So I would enforce a "no-exceptions 9-hour-a-night rule.

I can legitimately say I have done nothing since 2:45 pm today. Napping + epic facebook picture comments + screwing around = a fun night.

And it’s Friday tomorrow anyway, so who cares? :P

lolz i don’t, well… first period i go to sleep so she hates me; second period, he always wakes me up; third period, she wakes me up at times but today she let me go to sleep

I don’t really sleep. I usually sleep around 2am-4am and get up at 6am. I’m just accustomed to it and work well that way. I know for a fact that’s just how I function best because I get straight A’s even with this sleep schedule.

You may be getting straight A’s, but is it worth that heart attack later on?

That really scares me, Keshira. I know it’s bad, but I just can’t get myself out of the habit. Eek.

I sleep when I’m tired. My health means more to me than an assignment. However I do attempt to do homework. My quality of work sucks when I’m tired though.

yeah, same here. i’d say 3ish is the average time i sleep on weeknights, and i wake up at ~6:30. and i gots mah 4.0 but it’s not like it’s necessary to stay up late to maintain that – i just screw off 'til like 2 and then am like ‘OH MAN I GOTTA DO MY HOMEWORK.’

HOWEVER, i sleep ridiculous amounts over the weekend… at least 12 hours per night. haaa.

I usually get around 7 hours on a weeknight (although I have been starting to nap lately, giving me about 8-9 hours average), and I usually get around 10 on Friday and Saturday night. I win.

ive been sleeping at 2am for the past 2 weeks. it feels horrible :[[[[[

Me too. But I’m on spring break Lol

I don’t get spring break until a month…

Naps are my best friends.

I was having my junior conference today and saying all my activities and my counselor was like “Do you sleep?” I tried to say I did, but my mother spilled the beans. I really don’t.

School nights, I probably average 4 hours a night. Six is always the goal, btu I guess now it’s actually 7 since I don’t have 1st bell.
Friday nights I get at least 8. I have to wake up early.
As for Saturday night, I sleep all day.
