With my freshman, sophomore, and the first semester of my junior year, my cumulative GPA is 3.31UW. This absolutely sucks and I was very disappointed when I found out. I know that my freshman year really killed me. I'm hoping my W GPA will be a bit better, but that's only for ranking, so it doesn't necessarily make my UW look better. Plus, I completely bossed out my 3rd quarter this year.

AP Spanish Literature
AP Government
AP Environmental Science
AP Studio Art
AP English Literature
AP Calculus AB

How would I be able to get my GPA up to about a 3.6 before I apply to any colleges?
Would I need to get a 100 in every class for that to be possible?
If you need any more info please respond.

Just kidding. Um since you will be applying to colleges before your senior year is over, I wouldn’t expect a major change until the end of the year. But we don’t know how your school calculates GPA

4.0 is a 90 here, so as long as you can pull off As in every class, you should be fine. Getting good grades is all a matter of not wasting time (ex. spending hours of your should-be-doing-homework time on Facebook), not procrastinating, caring about and putting effort into your work, paying attention in class and taking good notes, and studying really well for tests/exams (although this list is very subjective and is different for every person, this is what I find works most ubiquitously).

What kinds of grades are you getting right now? I’m guessing mid-high 80s based on your GPA.

I’m currently getting all A’s. My quarter average for the past 3 quarters has been 95+ With the highest ones coming out of my AP courses.
It’s just my 9th grade year killing me. AND my sophomore wasn’t so hot either. I am showing an upward trend though.

I’m so anal about it because it’s the only thing that is making my application look bad.
