Raising GPA

Hi so I just finished my sophomore year in high school and I desperately need to raise my GPA. I'm taking a Spanish course at a local community college that will raise my GPA if I get an A(hopefully). Next year, my courseload is:
Adv Orchestra
AP Psychology
AP Environmental Sciences
AP Calc AB
AP US History
AP Language
I have room for another class but I was wondering whether I should TA for my teacher or take another class to raise my GPA.. preferably in easy AP lol (: What do you guys think I should do?
Any help is much appreciated! Thank you!!

What’s your GPA and how much do you “need” to raise it? Also, take what you want, not just for the GPA boost

UW GPA: 3.4
W GPA: 4.4
10-12 UW GPA: 3.53
10-12 W GPA: 4.53
UC GPA: 4.50
I really just wanna raise my GPA and that’s all I have in mind…

What does UC GPA mean?

Anywho, at the end of Sophomore year - I had 3.50 UW and 3.53 W - by the end of Junior year (with only three APs) - I now have a 3.7 UW and a 3.75 W - if that gives you any hope. My class rank went up from 57/500 to 15/500 - so real mobility and growth isn’t impossible, just work hard.

Since you are heavy APs I would not take another class but instead focus on getting As in the AP classes.

No offense but don’t be stupid and take another AP. If anything, take the AP lang next summer or self study. I think you can definitely improve and work harder the next year (I know my grades weren’t exactly stellar this year), but also consider your EQ’s. I’m taking a few slightly harder classes and an extra sport. To compensate, I’m brushing up on skills for my next math and science classes and reading a few books. You didn’t tell us which classes were harder for you last year, but take your weaker classes and brush up on them. Also brush up on math. Even if you’re good at it, it’s kind of easy to forget stuff from the previous year.

Or why don’t you just take a CP/Honors class, like Physics? You might learn something more useful in a STEM subject CP class, than a soft AP. Depends on what you’re into of course, I’m more of a science person. Is there a reason why you wanna take all AP’s?

I’m taking them for National AP Scholar. The classes that were hard for me in the past were all science classes.

With your UW GPA, I think the problem might be that you are taking too many AP classes already and are unable to get good grades in them. Do not take another unless you are absolutely sure you can do well in it- it’ll only hurt you more. Drop a few AP’s/take a study hall if you arent sure you can manage your current workload. Your GPA will rise only if you are capable of doing well in all of your AP classes.

How were you able to raise your GPA so high? Did you get straight A’s?

Yeah I’m quite certain that I’ll be able to do well in these classes. I’m actually very interested in all these subjects but my only concern would be APUSH since it’s notorious for it’s difficulty at my school.

Keep in mind that for uc gpa, only eight semesters of honors/ap are used for additional gpa weight. Therefore if one lands a B in a class during sophomore or junior, it is unlikely they would have a uc gpa of 4.5 by application time.
