I was depressed for a while in college and I found that when I would ‘dress up’ I would feel better/look forward to my day. Was I walking around college in a ballgown and high heels? No. But on some days I’ll be wearing joggers with a long sleeve shirt and sneakers, while on others I’ll wear a skirt with a blouse. Or I’ll wear a nice shirt with boots or oxfords. I feel like I did the opposite of most students haha. High school I never cared what I looked liked and wore jeans and a t-shirt everyday, and now in college I make the effort to look nice. Perhaps it’s because I’m commuter and I’ve heard most commuters dress up more because we usually have some place to go to off campus afterwards.
