t-shirt, shorts and flip flops when it was warm, jeans and sneakers when it got colder + whatever layering needed (usually hoodie first, then hoodie + jacket) and hiking boots if there was a lot of snow/ice on the sidewalk/walkways.
Same for first 2 years of med school and during grad school (except in the summer still wore sneakers cuz lab safety). Only started dressing up on a regular basis when I returned to med school for the clinical years and any opportunity I had to wear scrubs instead of dress clothes I took advantage of. As my resident on surgery said “Isn’t it great that we get to wear pajamas to work?”
