Just out of curiousity, how do you look for scholarships? Fastweb? Google? Guidance Counselor?

Most people would recommend #s 1 and 3 of the options you listed. You could also check with some kind of local community center who could give you information about more local scholarships.

For the average student, you will get far more money out of identifying the generous schools compared to chasing down scholarships.

Thanks for the response guys, but I'm not asking for advice on finding scholarships. I'm simply doing a survey of how other people find scholarships.

bump..............

fast web, scholarships.com, lunch-money, college scholarship web-site.

I have found the college scholarship website to be the most helpful.

If you haven't already, go to the college(s) you are attending or think you are attending and see if they have a scholarship web page. look over the scholarships -- some are for sophomore, junior, senior year. it is always good to know what you can apply for later and some of the requirements coming up (GPA, certain majors, certains class or hours in a subject requirements)

For local scholarships, I go thru the GC as well as the local newspapers.

google...haha

i found google scholarships using a google search engine. It took me a long time, however.
