<p>I usually get the mail on the way home with my dad…I kind of feel like I should go home first and then just let him go get it once letters start arriving. I’d rather get the news at home than in the car no matter the outcome. Jumping around and/or crying are easier when you’re not in a car.</p>
<p>Just so you know…many colleges give decisions online and the package/letter arrives later. Some colleges don’t send out rejections (like Stanford). But it is all exciting…</p>
<p>It was a long road for me getting into a University, graduated in '99 did two year schools and a 4 year enlistment in the USMC from '99-'11. Initial college grades were an anchor on my gpa but I pulled it up enough to apply to San Diego State and a few of the UC’s, when I checked my SDSU application online and saw that I was accepted I lost it. If my girlfriends sister wasn’t staying with us I may have streak through our apartment complex. I envy you kids going straight from HS to these amazing schools, and I hope you all take advantage of it.</p>
<p>I would ask the colleges to send my letter in a treasure chest so that when I receive it, I can promptly make a “Zelda treasure chest opening” sequence.</p>

<p>To my number one choice, UT Austin? I will probably pass out. Then upon regaining consciousness, proceed to freak out, then text everyone important to me before posting it on Facebook. xD</p>
<p>If I got accepted, I would run around the house screaming “I AM A BEAST!” like I did when I got my SAT scores back. If I get rejected…I’ll probably act like its no big deal then secretly cry over it in my room haha.</p>
<p>Readytolearn- that is how I would take my rejection too. For my acceptance, I would run around the house screaming and crying and then yell it out my window so my whole neighborhood could hear. Omg I’m getting excited just thinking about it. (:</p>
