How do you imagine opening your college acceptance letters?

Like say you got into your dream school how do imagine opening the "letter" (since most of them are online now).

This is what I want mine to be like

I so hope you guys weren't expecting this to be a dirty thread I made an extra long title just so you knew it wasn't

Watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Fast forward to where Charlie opens his candy bar and sees the last golden ticket.

There you go.

Also someone needs to teach me how to link to Youtube clips like what ZombieDante did.

I would do the final dance scene from the Wiz “Brand New Day” and yell out my window or run around my apartment building screaming.

Would it be weird if I cried after my freak out?

If I get into a Japanese college, I’m going to curse a lot and scream at the top of my lungs. Same with Stanford :D

I usually get the mail on the way home with my dad…I kind of feel like I should go home first and then just let him go get it once letters start arriving. I’d rather get the news at home than in the car no matter the outcome. Jumping around and/or crying are easier when you’re not in a car.

Just so you know…many colleges give decisions online and the package/letter arrives later. Some colleges don’t send out rejections (like Stanford). But it is all exciting…

^which is why I put “letter”

I’m not only a rising junior, but I don’t think I’d react too crazily. Mainly, I’ll be happy I know where I’m going for college.

It was a long road for me getting into a University, graduated in '99 did two year schools and a 4 year enlistment in the USMC from '99-'11. Initial college grades were an anchor on my gpa but I pulled it up enough to apply to San Diego State and a few of the UC’s, when I checked my SDSU application online and saw that I was accepted I lost it. If my girlfriends sister wasn’t staying with us I may have streak through our apartment complex. I envy you kids going straight from HS to these amazing schools, and I hope you all take advantage of it.

Somehow I imagine my mom’ll just rip it open when she sees the letterhead cuz I don’t have the key to the mailbox…

I would ask the colleges to send my letter in a treasure chest so that when I receive it, I can promptly make a “Zelda treasure chest opening” sequence.

Hahaha blackwolf that’s hilarious, you should thrust it up into the air too, even before you read it. “Da da da DAAAAAA!! …oh, I was rejected. Well, poop.”

Opening my UVA acceptance letter on the computer was a mix between

I’ll feel like that on the inside. I’m not really a person to express emotions outwardly.

OMG I saw this before, greatest clip EVER.

To my number one choice, UT Austin? I will probably pass out. Then upon regaining consciousness, proceed to freak out, then text everyone important to me before posting it on Facebook. xD

If I got accepted, I would run around the house screaming “I AM A BEAST!” like I did when I got my SAT scores back. :stuck_out_tongue: If I get rejected…I’ll probably act like its no big deal then secretly cry over it in my room haha.

Readytolearn- that is how I would take my rejection too. For my acceptance, I would run around the house screaming and crying and then yell it out my window so my whole neighborhood could hear. Omg I’m getting excited just thinking about it. (:

When i’m with my parents I will say “thank You Jesus.” then i’ll move on with my life.

When I tell my frinds i’ll bounce off the walls, dance, and then i’ll stop doing work at school.

The End.
