How do you join clubs in the middle of the year?

I have joined 4 clubs so far, mostly from the start. However, I keep looking but cannot find another club to join. Joining a club is not easy because you have to introduce yourself. I cannot just walk in.
Opinions?

If you're trying to look good to colleges, it's not the length of your EC list that matters, but what you're accomplishing in your ECs: projects you created and directed; offices you've held; awards that you've gotten as a result of your ECs. For the relatively few collleges (mainly ones that are among the most competitive in the country) that care a lot about ECs, it's not the length of the list that impresses the adcoms.

Meanwhile, most colleges accept the majority of their applicants, and base admissions mainly on grades, scores and courseload.

find out who is in charge of the club, talk to them, tell them your worried about the first day. they should be able to tell the people you're coming and introduce you. after the first moment it shouldn't be too hard.

Two options:
1. Talk to the teacher who leads the club beforehand, and then just walk in.
2. Just walk in.

I've done both this year, and both have had the same result: I'm now a member of the club.

Just walk in! They'd love to have you-few clubs (the ones that you probably don't want to join anyway) will just deny you for being a late-joiner.

For example, the yearbook at my school, everybody feels like it is exclusive and I was nervous about going by myself and just "walking in". Anyway, long story short, everybody's great and its my favorite club by far now.

Don't be afraid!

Go with a friend who is already a member (even someone you know only a little is okay; it's not like you're really going to have to hang out with them anyway) and have them say, hey, this is my friend_____. Easy.
