how do you or penn feel about manipulating the page margins?

I have quite alot to say in my essay, and I'm tired of cutting words.... could I just expand the page margins so that it'd fit into one page before uploading it to the commonapp?

Yes, I would like to know this too.

For the supplement or the main essay?

Yes I did this in my Why Penn essay (the limit was one page). They don't care. Just don't make it obscenely small print or anything like that.

As long as it's readable, it's fine. Not everyone has the same page margins anyway.

is this essay supposed to be one page single or double spaced?

never mind i found the answer!

what is the answer? single space or double? or my personal fave, 1.5?

I tampered with the page margins extensively, and turned a 1.5 page paper into a 1 page paper just by doing that. seems to have worked for me, i got in :D just don't go under size 10 font, that's pushin it...

So, do you have to use double lines or not?

i single spaced mine... or i think the 1.5 thing has worked too..

I single spaced mine as well.

double space + one page =.... 250 words? lol

I think it's single
or at least i hope so.

think about it.... have you guys read many double-spaced autobiographies?

I'm not doing the autobiography though =P

i made the font size 11 and made the margins really small for both essays. haha.
and i got in ED. :] so I think it's all good.
