How do you prefer to get your decisions? Snail mail vs portal

I prefer snail mail even though it takes a bit of time. When I got into Northwestern and Syracuse, I kept refreshing the page to make sure it was real lol. I kept fearing that they were gonna send out an email saying that it was a system glitch and I was actually rejected and I felt this way til my acceptance came on paper. When it is snail mail, it is legit!

Definitely snail mail!

Portal if it is earlier, but sometimes I prefer snail mail, just for the heck of it. Unless it is a rejection. Then neither.

If the arrival times didn’t fluctuate so much I’d prefer snail mail and the packaging of Georgetown (all envelopes are the same size regardless of decision) so that there’s excitement when you’re opening it up.
But honestly, I could’ve cared less when I saw that I was accepted at Princeton, portal or not it would’ve still made me cry like a baby :stuck_out_tongue:

Considering the fact that my parents are usually the first to view our snail mail and would never wait for me to open the letter first, I’d say portal

I’m very impatient. Portal all the way

I haven’t gotten any decisions because I’m a c/o 16er lol but I could see how I would prefer portal over snail mail. However, I can see where your coming from about snail mail being legit. When I saw my AP world history exam score(2) I refreshed it about 50 times expecting it to change lol.

Loved the Georgetown letter I got in the mail! Made it feel so much more real and exciting. I didn’t have much success with portal decisions haha soooo I’m definitely a snail mail type of guy now.

I know it isn’t realistic to expect colleges to send acceptance/rejection/waitlist letters with the same delivery plan and envelope size. If that were the case, I’d prefer snail mail. Since that isn’t the case, I’d have to go with the online portal.

Would you prefer quick death or slow, painful death? I know that I wasn’t able to focus on schoolwork for three whole days for CMU decision last year to ultimately find out that I got priority waitlisted.
