Warner's English Grammar and Usage.

Make sure you're in contact with your English teacher too.

I used the Barron's sats writing book, and laboured endlessly over all the grammar exercises, turned out ok.

I thought Kaplan's 12 Practice Tests book was decent.

DON'T use the blue book for writing though. Writing in that book is ridiculously easy compared to the actual test's writing section.

First, look at your local library and/ or Barnes and Nobles. Flip through the books and figure out which ones you like. Try using Kaplan because it is easier to read than Barron's (which is what I used). Also, for practice, definitely do the practice tests and essays in the books. The practice tests are the best way to prepare because it makes you more comfortable with the test. Also score your tests and see what grammar problems you had and re-read that grammar section. Also, take your practice essays to your teachers. I think they would be more than happy to help!
Good reads: Elements of Style, Bedford Handbook (Diana Hacker), and grammar books.
