Hi guys im looking to start up a campus journal or newspaper, anyone with experience in the subject?

I don't have experience, but I do have a few ideas to help get you started:

1) Try to do some research and figure out why no one else has started such a journal or newspaper. If people have tried and failed in the past, try to learn from their mistakes.

2) Approach journalism professors and ask them for their help. You'll need a faculty adviser anyway, so this is a good place to start.

3) Maybe create a professional-looking mock-up of your vision of the journal or newspaper, writing an article or two, so that you have something to show those who can help you with this endeavor rather than a simple idea. This will also help you focus your ideas and help you realize them in the long run.

That's all I can think of for now, but I may add more later. Good luck!

You can also try to launch and register your campus journal or newspaper as a student group at your college student center.

Make sure you have a list of goals and objectives behind your student group too. This will provide more legitimacy for you.
