How do you study?

Do you study a whole subject for a chunk of time (i.e. study biology for an hour) or do you jump around among different subject because you get bored (i.e. I study a little bit of bio, a little bit of french, and a little bit of history in the course of an hour)?
Which way do you recommend? i always feel like i have a short attention span because i can concentrate on one subject for a long period of time.

Don’t study

Who studies these days.

-raises hand-

If I’m studying, it’s because I need to, and if I need to, then I’m allotting a good chunk of time to master the material.

It depends what I’m studying for. If it’s for a small quiz I usually mix things up, but if I have a big test the next day or something, it’s one subject for hours.

Generally, I put EVERYTHING and I mean everything on notes cards so I’ll tell myself I have to get through one stack of notecards twice before I can lose my attention and move on to the next.

What’s that?

Study?? Whats that.

The truly brilliant never study.

Save all the hw until the day before and make that your studying. It’s called planned procrastination (yes I just coined that term) and gets rid of inefficient extra studying time.

^I like that.

Damn you.

Actually, that’s like what my mom used to say to me and my brother: You are not geniuses so go study

Amen to that buddy

But in reality I just end up studying the night before a test and getting a 90 so I don’t really care haha

Touche 10 char lawl

and why is this not getting quoted even though i clicked reply then quote message…

Easy. Whatever I take at school, I study at home the same day. I do this so I don’t get overloaded with studying later on. I like to do things first and fast, you know, get it over with and all. I study about an hour every school night.

I think your study method is awesome, but can be overloading and apt to be repetitive at times sirwanksalot,if you don’t harness it well.My personal study method is this.First,I determine how much time is left till exams start. The second step is to work in relation to the first step, either study intensely, but in an organised form,or be more spaced out and relaxed.I like to use both.Every study session takes about 3 hours and has mini objectives, for example,in say,45 minutes,I should have completed a particular segment to totality, etc. The third step is ,your daily study method,in a very lax form however. It works for me. I plan on attending oxford, and the form of study there supports my method.Hope this was helpful.
