So i'm planning to self study for the AP Human Geography this year. Since this is my first year self studying any AP class, I was just wondering first off how do you get a seat to take the exam. I also want to know in regards for AP Human Geography, what i need to do to get a 4 or 5. This being what textbook should i use, what test prep books should i use. Was the test easy/hard, what scores you guys got, things like that. Thank You So much

Just get a prep book [just 1 will suffice]. Any is fine, I believe I used PR. MC was super easy, FRQ also easy, but requires more depth of knowledge. I got a 5. As for how you get a seat, that depends on your school, so nobody can help you except them.

I would recommend using Rubenstein’s “The Cultural Landscape”. I used this textbook and also met the author–hes a wonderful guy. Also, Barron’s is a great great review book. The practice questions will prepare you magnificently for the AP exam :)

Good luck,
Saahil

i do have rubenstein and barrons, i’m probably get the pr book around january, but i still feel like its not enough.

is it bad that i have not even started to self study for this one. I have the barron’s review book but i haven’t even opened yet.

You look at a map. I mean…seriously. Have you looked at this exam? Go look at the released one.

i have and it seems really easy, but I don’t know. Collegeboard likes to trick you.

Sorry for the lateness lol
Anyway I self-studied it w/ Barron’s ONLY. I got a 5. I thought i had done horrible but I guess I just have low self-esteem on tests haha. Like they mentioned above one review book will DEFINITLEY SUFFICE. You usually only need 1 review book and not even the textbook. Don’t worry about it. And sign up with your college counselor they are usually the AP Coordinator as well, if you can’t find them ask any teacher you have or Principal. Good luck.
