im thinking about self studying AP human geography sinc ei heard it was quite an easy course.i want to start studying over the summer so i can secure my score of 5 on the test.does anyone know where i can find textbooks or websites to help me with self studying this course?

I just did this! Haven't gotten my scores back yet, obviously, but I think I probably managed to score well. My suggestion is to sign up for access to the educators section of CollegeBoard and look at the suggested textbook list. Right now I can't remember what book I used, but I can post again after I find it. I also used Barrons to study. My suggestion is to make sure to use all of the resources available on collegeboard - the old essay questions, the course syllabus, etc.

You're right when you say it is pretty easy. A lot of it is just common sense and basic knowledge.

Oh, the textbook which I used was Human Geography: Culture, Society, and Space by Blij and Murphy.

I self studied Human Geography last year. And I used the book the above poster used.

You don't need all summer. Or most of the year for that matter. Just three good weeks... and I got a 5.

You have to peruse 600+ pages textbook just to get a 5 on this supposedly easy AP test?!!! I am referring to Human Geography: Culture, Society, and Space btw. There must be a better way...

How were you able to self-study it and get a 5?

My son self studied this course and got a 5. He used one of the recommended textbooks on collegeboards’s website (I can’t remember which one) as well as Barrons’s and 5 Steps to a 5. The biggest help though were probably all the released essays also available on collegeboard’s website. He told me that he thought it was easier than AP Psychology.

I know this is a bit off topic, but by which year do you recommend self studying for this ap? I am not sure because my school does not offer it, so can someone give me an answer? Thanks!

My son took it in 10th grade. I would guess that if you study and practice that one could take it in any high school grade and do well.
