I have the third edition and the black book, but I’ve noticed that the black book explains a lot of the red book’s problems which I have not solved yet. Do I complete the red book first, then the black book, or…?
bump
I bought the Act black book. To me it was useless. I have taken the test 10 times and the strategies in that book are for people who have never taken it before.
I think you are supposed to just go through the black book and the red book simultaneously. Because the black book has specific walkthroughs on how to do the questions in the red book.
My daughter used the black book after she had taken the ACT. It helped her with the English, reading, and science portion. The reading went up 5 points. She would take one section of the red book, take the timed test and then go back through and read the black book on that section. Good luck!
Thank you!
