Can you write on the PDF app.. or are you supposed to just copy and past everything online (if so.. how exactly do you know about word limit.. that everything fits, etc?

You can't edit .pdf files unless the author of those file has made it possible or you are using Adobe Acrobat Professional. are you refering to the common app or a specific college's app?

All apps...

Are you wanting to type on the app, then print and send a physical copy?

The PDF is there if you wanted the option to fill out the application by pen. I suggest doing the online version. To see if everything fits, I just typed my essays into word, which gave me the wordcount functionality, then copied and pasted it into the text boxes, and fixing the formatting.

well if you really want to type on the pdf version then use paint it's sort of annoying to use at first but once you get used to it, it's a breeze. and if you have skill, then you can edit it have more space.

Use advance commenting which draws a box around it and you can type anything you want.
But I am having trouble printing...

So there is an actual online "form" I can keep on updating?

actually you can write on it by opening the pdf in adobe photoshop.
though that's only if you have photoshop. :/
