How does a transfer student fill out the Common App?

It seems like the Common App for transfers (and yes, I am logged in commonapp as a transfer applicant) is made for freshman applicants.

The individual university supplements seem to be formatted for freshman students. For example, a question on the Stanford supp goes "what would you want your freshman roommate to know about you?" Is there something wrong with this picture? I'm a transfer student applying for junior standing!

The Secondary School Report also seems like it was made for high school students. How do I fill this awkward form out?

Why does it seem like these applications are made for freshman applicants? And how am I, a junior transfer applicant, supposed to fill out these forms?

Thanks
~Brian

Stanford had separate Transfer essays in the year my S applied. So, I'd suggest you go to each school's website and read each school's Instructions for Transfer Applicants. You may find that the Supplements linked on the commonapp site aren't the right ones for Transfers.

Stanford, eg, had a very specific list of items for Transfer Applicants. They even had address labels you printed out for some/all of the items and instructions about what size envelope to use ().

In regard to the Secondary School report, I don't recall if there is a different "form" for transfers. However, I do know that for my S, his hs Guidance secretary simply made copies of their original pkg and sent it to all of his transfer schools. Worked fine.
