How does admission into the Robins School of Business Work?

I want to major in finance. Are you directly admitted into the school of business or do you have to major in something else first for the first two years. I know some schools like Miami U don't have direct admission into the business school. Also, does this make the admissions process more difficult compared to a school where you can be directly admitted into the school of Business?

Hello Austin. Check out:

There is a pretty good description of the process. In short, I don’t believe you are admitted directly into the school. They covered this in detail when we first visited a couple if years ago but, since it didn’t apply to us we didn’t pay a lot of attention to that part!

Something didn’t work with that link. When the page comes up, click on “five schools”

[Five Schools - Undergraduate Admission - University of Richmond](http://admissions.richmond.edu/majors/five-schools.html)

That should work. Amazingly enough, it looks like you had a capital “HTML” at the end which it didn’t like…

From my understanding, there are only a handful of kids each year who won’t get into the B-school if they apply. It’s not quite like Jepson, where it’s a more stringent application process.
