How Does AP Credit Work?

I know it said in the courses of programs and study that only six general electives can count. I've gotten 5's in Physics C M&EM, Calc BC, Us His. For example, for Calc BC it says that I would get credit for "MATH 15100-15200", but for other classes like Biology it says that if I get a 4, i get credit for "1 quarter of general education (BIOS 10110)". What's the difference between the two descriptions? Is "MATH 15100-15200" like 4 quarters? How many quarters are "six general electives"? 6? 12? 24?

Thanks in advance!

1 course = 1 quarter = 1 credit = one course number (e.g. MATH 15100 is one course, 1 quarter, 1 credit; MATH 15200 is one course, 1 quarter, 1 credit; the two courses, along with MATH 15300, form a series)

“six general electives” = 6 courses = 6 quarters = 6 credits

we have a pretty simple system. every course counts as 1 credit (except gym, which doesnt count as a credit but is required depending on your fitness test score during oweek)
