I found out that my FAFSA Expected Family Contribution today was really low (or at least to what my parents and I were expecting) and I was wondering how Cornell financial aid is compared to FAFSA? This a question mostly for current students who have already received financial aid packages. Did Cornell's EFC for you exceed that of FAFSA's? And how does the loans/grants proportions work out (ex. 50% grants and 50% loans, or mostly loans or mostly grants?)? I am really excited. Look likes I will be able to afford college after all! Ha, being poor has its perks. :p

my Cornell EFC was 2/3 of my FAFSA EFC (which was also very low). My breakdown was about 90% grants and 7% loans (which were erased by my MFCNS scholarship) and 3% workstudy. I hope that helps.

Wow, that is awesome!

Yeah, that's amazing!! I'm be so ecstatically happy if that happened to me too. :D
