How does double majoring/minoring work?

So, I’ve decided that I either want to go to Pace or NYU because of their musicals theatre programs. However, I want to major in another area as well as in musical theatre. I would also really like to double minor in business and foreign language. I know it’s a lot, but is it even allowed at colleges, especially these ones? I’ve pretty much come to accept that I won’t graduate college in four years, but I’m really fine with it.
(Also, I know the tuition will be extremely bad)

@bbroadwayy - as I think several people have mentioned you can’t just decide to attend either of these programs so if you’re going to seriously consider applying to MT programs you will need to apply to more than two schools. Each of those two programs gets thousands of applicants for relatively few slots - I think Pace has 30 spaces in their MT class and NYU has 65 freshmen in their MT studio. In the NYC area consider looking at Wagner, LIU-Post, Rider, Drew, Aldephi, Montclair as possible additions to your school list.

I can’t speak to Pace but double majoring or minoring at NYU is pretty easy - you include of a certain number of academic classes in your minor area as part of your coursework. As part of the Tisch curriculum you already have 1/4 of your units allocated to Gen Ed classes and another 1/4 to electives. You just choose to take enough elective classes to fufill the minor or (more rarely) the double major. Most of the Gen Eds for Tisch are the same as the Gen Eds for CAS but you might have to take a math class as part of the double major as Tisch does not have that requirement.
